Following on from last year’s award-winning ‘Be More Dog’ campaign where a lethargic cat begins to live the life of a dog, VCCP have released a sequel in ‘Life Coach’. Jonesy the cat has found a new lease of life, becoming a motivational speaker and encouraging his audience to download the O2 Priority app to be first in line for special offers. MPC worked closely with director Ulf Johansson on the spot, which had the added challenge of creating a talking cat.
VFX Supervisor Dan Lorenzini said, “Creating a cat that acts like a dog is a challenge in itself; and this time around our cat is speaking. Luckily the cat’s handler had jars of peanut butter on standby, creating a somewhat realistic mouth movement that was enhanced back in the studio. Ulf really knew what was needed to make the visual effects work, right from the beginning, involving us throughout the process. That meant the shots where always going to look their best, with no compromise to the story."
