Bound to trump your office Christmas party this year, Johan Renck’s stylish film for H&M features ukulele playing sailors, supermodels in a glittering ski chalet and culminates in an epic 40’s themed party complete with full jazz band.
Global Creative Director of Colour Grading Jean-Clément Soret added his unique brand of elegance with the festive grade.
Johan Renck directed the spot through his production company RAF, building five separate sets that link seamlessly together. He said, "We were inspired by the glitz, glamour, and opulence of the 1940's Big Band era. The mood is one of festive celebration shot through with a strong sense of fashion and an underlying humour. It is intriguing, curious, exuberant, audacious, and filled with wonder."
Tony and Gaga sing their new collaboration “It don't mean a thing (If it ain’t got that swing)” in a final party scene to rival one of Jay Gatsby’s blowouts.
