Technology Meets Creativity, Ad Week Europe 2014

For the second year running Ad Week Europe was held in London following the triumphant success of the 2013 event. The event, held over four days from the 31st March to the 4th April 2014 consisted of 115 events and over 14,000 attendees. Ad Week has been taking place successfully in New York for over 10 years and is a hub of creativity with the world's most innovative, inspiring and successful advertising companies. High profile speakers at the London event included Sir John Hegarty, Boris Johnson and Lord Coe.

As part of the APA Members presentation ‘Bring Me Something New – Creativity meets Technology’, the panel of presenters showcased how VFX and technology have become integral to the creative process, helping to directly influence and shape ideas.

Ben Cyzer took to the stage to talk about MPC’s successful exploration into the contemporary art world with our Transforming body of work in collaboration with artists Rob & Nick Carter.  Ben discussed the development behind four digital paintings and two 3D sculptures, explaining the creative process and collaboration involved in developing the new art form. Two of the artworks were put on display, drawing crowds keen to get a close-up at the end of the presentation.
