The inaugural Creative Week was held in London between June 2-6, bringing together the worlds of television, film and advertising to share inspiration and information. A series of seminars, workshops, conferences and thought leadership sessions were held on a variety of topics over the week, celebrating the very best in media and communications.
MPC London's Interactive Creative Director for Advertising, Andre Assalino took part in the VFX Summit during the Creative Cross-Pollination session. He sat alongside other industry professionals to discuss cross genre projects, the future of VFX and the importance of nurturing in-house talent. Andre used MPC and Rob and Nick Carter’s ‘Transforming’ digital artworks as the perfect example of VFX moving into the art world.
Global Head Of VFX Operations, MPC Film, Damien Fagnou, sat on the "Changing the View" VFX Summit panel and discussed MPC's exploration of using GPU rendering to help our visualisation pipeline. Damien and the software team's research has been very well received in the industry and press.
